Bamboo Flutes

Bamboo flutes are available in one-piece versions. The one-piece flute builds up from a parallel head and a conical body. This type of bamboo (semi-arundinaria faustosa), with its very long joint sections, comes from China. Because of its natural characteristics, it is especially suitable for making flutes.  The cane slightly narrows towards the end, giving the one-piece instrument a tone similar to that of the Irish flute.
